yvonne kelly

my mom sold a house in Jenkintown, PA and the woman that used to live there was an artist named Yvonne Kelly. her widower had left a ton of stuff in the circa-1900 center hall colonial, and, although this painting isn't her work, Yvonne bought it at a gallery because the artist (Philadelphia based artist Maybelle Longstreet) painted it of Yvonne's daughter Kathleen. apparently, Maybelle Longstreet painted this image solely from memory and did not have a model sit or pose for it. other examples of Longstreet's work can be found here.
